The Lafayette High Varsity Basketball Team had a late start this season due to being in football playoff.
They had their season opener on Monday night against Central Coosa Cougars.

The Bulldogs came out with a victory over the Cougers with 58-47.

The young Bulldogs started out slow, but gather themselves and put away the Cougars in the second half of play.
Though the Bulldogs are young they are very scrappy, but with the play of senior Jarmarquez Boston-Gain and point guard Corey Boston, the Bulldogs should have a promising season.

The top leading scores of the night for the Bulldogs were Jarmarquez Boston-Gain with 20 points, Corey Boston 15 points, Jordan Wallace had 9 points and Ke›Andrea Peterson had 6.

The next game is Tuesday night at home against BTW.

Thursday and Friday of this week also  they will take on Loachapoka and Opelika.

LaFayette B team also wins

Lafayette BTeam Bulldogs kicked off the season with a victory against the Cougars as well, score of 46-23.
