Piedmont district’s Log a Load and the Children’s Hospital would like to thank Chambers Academy in LaFayette for allowing them to be a part of the School’s Country Fair. A special thanks for Glen and Tammy Morgan for letting us use their facilities. Flint Equipment out of Columbus was very generous by loaning a John Deere Loader for the contest. They raised $1,560.00 for the Children’s Hospital of Birmingham over the weekend. They would also like to especially say thank you to these students – Lindsey Fuller, Lauren Fuller, Natalie Lovelace, Jacob Brown, Nic Ford, Wyatt Cain, Dillon Williams, Abby Cain, Layla Keebler and Jana Sanders for helping with the activities. Thad Cain, owner of Woodchop Timber, won the loader contest with a score of 2:37:96. Wanda Brushwood of LaFayette won the “Guess the Load” contest. The load weighed 83920 and she guessed 84600. Many blessings for both the lucky and skilled winners because they donated their winnings back to Log a Load. The annual Log A Load Skeet Shoot is scheduled for April 22, 2017 at The Oaks in LaFayett.
