The LaFayette Bulldogs varsity basketball team participated in their second tournament over the holidays.

They traveled to Moultrie, Georgia to play in the Colquitt County Christmas Tournament. In the first day of action the Bulldogs faced off with Monroe, Ga.

The Bulldogs had to play in the tournament without standout guard Jatarvious Whitlow.

Whitlow was preparing to play in the Offense/Defense All-American Bowl held at Kennesaw State University.

The Bulldogs played well but came up short as Monroe eased passed the Dogs by a score of 76-63.

In the second day of action the Bulldogs returned to the hardwood to do battle with Colquitt County the host team of the tournament.

Once again the Dogs gave a valiant effort but came up short as Colquitt County edged out the Bulldogs 49-38 to get the win.
In their final day of tournament action the Bulldogs faced Lincoln, Florida. Lincoln is the #4 ranked team in the state of Florida.

The Bulldogs were outmatched in their game verses Lincoln.

Lincoln upended the Bulldogs 74-43, which ended the tournament for the Dogs.

The Dogs struggled in the tournament going 0-3 overall.

Hopefully the Bulldogs can pick up the pieces and keep it moving as they face off with rival the Lanett Panthers, Friday, January 6, in area competition at Lanett High gymnasium.

The Bulldogs will also face rival Valley Saturday, January 7.

This is the first meeting between the Dogs and both teams this season and it should be two great games.
