The Chambers Academy Varsity girls’ team record does not necessarily reflect the ability of the 2017-2018 team.  As a 1A school it’s not easy to find other 1A schools to compete against.  This year’s team has started off facing some of the toughest competition they will face all year.  The ladies traveled to Edgewood early in the week to face the 3A Wildcats.  Although the girls played as hard as possible, they fell to Edgewood 42-28.  Tate Reese led in points with 10 and also In rebounds with 13 for the Rebels. Tori Harmon scored 6 points and was credited with 9 rebounds.  Other scorers for CA were Lizzie Keebler with 8 points and Britten Stephens with 2.

The ladies next faced the 2A Coosa Valley Academy Rebels defeating them 49-20.  Shelly Keebler led the ladies with 12 points followed by Lizzie Keebler with 11 points and Tate Reese with 10.  Also scoring for the Rebels were Tori Harmon with 8 points, Audra Slay with 4 points and Lindsey Fuller and Brandalon Rombokas with 2 each. Tate Reese led with 14 rebounds and Tori Harmon and Shelly Keebler each had 6.

The ladies completed the week with a frustrating 51-42 loss against the 3A Springwood Wildcats.  Tate Reese led the Rebels with 17 points.  Britten Stephens scored 7.  Lizzie Keebler scored 6.  Shelly Keebler had 5 points.  Tori Harmon scored 4.  Brandalon Rombokas scored 2 and Audra Slay had 1 in the loss. Leading in rebounds was Tate Reese with 9 and Britten Stephens with 8.

The Lady Rebels will be participating this weekend in the Abbeville Christmas tournament.  Game times are not yet available.
