LOG A LOAD FOR
KIDS SPORTING CLAY
SHOOT

The Oaks in LaFayette
will be hosting our annual
sporting clay shoot, turkey
shoot, live auction, kiddie
corner, gun raffle, live entertainment,
guess the load
contest and concessions on
Saturday, April 16 at 8:00
a.m. CST. Registration begins
at 7:30 a.m. CST. This
is a family fun filled day so
please come out and enjoy.

monthly prayer breakfast
on Saturday, March 5 at
7:30 a.m. Reverend Paul
Howard of LaFayette
Heights Baptist Church will
be the guest speaker.
Everyone is welcome to attend
for good food and fellowship.

will begin March 1, 2016 –
March 25, 2016. Registration
forms will be available
at all Elementary Schools
and also posted on the
Chambers County website
at www.chambersk12.org.

The Head Start program
of Chambers-Tallapoosa
is now taking
applications for the 2016-
2017 program year for 3
and 4 year old children.
Once the child has turned 3
years of age, we can take
him/her at any time, IF we
have an opening. We accept
children with disabilities

or any Head Start Center in
your area.

MEETINGS

The March Commission
meetings of the Chambers
County Commission
are set for Monday, March
7 and Monday, March 21.
Commission meetings
begin at 4:00 p.m. CT and
are held in the Commission
Chamber located at 2 South
LaFayette Street in
LaFayette.

The Commission offices
will be closed on
Monday, March 28 for
Easter Monday.

TEACHER TRAINING
WORKSHOPS

Chambers County
Board of Education will be
holding two training workshops
for substitute teachers.
The workshops will be
held on Thursday, March 3
at 9:00 A.M. Central Time
at LaFayette Eastside Elementary
School and on Friday,
March 4 at 9:00 A.M.
Eastern Time at Huguley
Elementary School. If you
are interested in becoming
a substitute teacher, please
plan to attend one of these
workshops. You will need
to bring the following items
with you: valid driver’s license,
social security card
and proof of high school or
college diploma.

There will be a meeting
of the Chambers
County Human Resource
Committee on Monday,
March 7 at 3:00 p.m. CT in
the commission office at
the courthouse in
LaFayette.
