PENTON CHURCH OF GOD EASTER EGG HUNT AND SUNRISE SERVICE
Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. CST at the church. Everyone is invited. Sunrise Service on April 16 will be at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast in the fellowship hall at 7:00 a.m. and morning service will be at 8:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
UNION HILL EASTER EGG HUNT
The Annual Union Hill Volunteer Fire Department egg hunt will be held Saturday April 15. Concession stand will open at 11:00am CST with hamburger, hotdogs chips and goodies for sale. There will be tickets to purchase on cakes, gift baskets. There will jumpers for the kids to play. All eggs will be provided by the department. Egg hunt will begin at 1:00 cst. So bring the kids out for a fun time.

Rock Springs BC will have their Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 14 at 6:00 p.m. CST. All children invited and bring plastic eggs with candy inside. Hot Dog supper provided. Easter Sunday Servives: Sunday School 9 a.m. and Worship Service at 10 a.m. CST.

The Chambers County and Lanett City Schools are in the process of identifying and locating three groups of children; those in need of special education and related services, those in need of services under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and those in need of gifted services. The Head Start Program of Chambers-Tallapoosa is now taking applications for the 2016-2017 program year for 3 and 4 year old children. Once the child has turned 3 years of age, we can take him/her at any time, IF we have an opening. We accept children with disabilities also. You will need the following to enroll your child: 1. OAK BOWERY UMCGRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
We are starting a new Grief Support Group at Oak Bowery UMC. We plan to meet every 2nd Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. and every 4th Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. The group will be lead by Pastor William A. Parker, MEd, BA. Oak Bowery UMC is located at 4051 US Hwy 431. It is 12 miles south of the Chambers Co Courthouse in LaFayette and 8 miles north of Opelika High School and Southern Union. The April Commission Meeting of the Chambers County Commission are set for Monday, April 24. Commission meetings begin at 4:00 p.m. CT and are held in the Commission Chamber in LaFayette.
