The holiday season is fast approaching with only 50 days left until Christmas, LaFayette’s city council made an important adjustment to its normal meeting calendar this past Monday in preparation of the holiday.
Members of LaFayettes city council voted unanimously on Monday night to move their scheduled December 25th council meeting to December 18th. The meeting will be one week earlier. Alabama state law requires that a city the size of LaFayette must hold at least two council meetings per month.
The meeting dates for LaFayette’s two December meetings will be on December 11th and December 18th. Both meetings are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at City Hall in downtown LaFayette.
