Dairy Queen has announced plans to purchase and renovate an existing building located in Valley to service the citizens of Chambers County and surrounding areas. The franchise plans to make a $1.3 million investment in Valley and hire between 20-25 employees over its ramp up timeline.
Construction on the new location is set to begin in July and plans are to be in operation by the fall of this year. Renovations to the building will include seating for 76 people and an outdoor patio.
“This is an exciting announcement and we are thrilled that Dairy Queen has chosen Valley for their newest location,” said Valley Mayor Leonard Riley.
According to Mayor Riley, the Chambers County Development Authority and the City of Valley have worked together diligently on this project over the past six months. Initial contact with the company was made several years ago by the CCDA staff.
