Officials have released the identity of an Auburn University Student who was found dead in his dorm room on last Sunday. Investigators still have not determined the cause of death, but do believe the events are not the cause of foul play.
Last Sunday afternoon Auburn Police and paramedics were doing a welfare check on an 18-year-old freshman at Auburn University after receiving a call from family to check on the student. When authorities arrived they found that student dead in his dorm room.
This past week the identity of the young man was released, he has been identified as Hill Abbott. Abbot was born in South American nation of Argentina, but lived in the state of Colorado. He was a recent high school graduate having completed his high school programs in May of 2016. After high school he moved to Auburn and was pursing the study of engineering. Abbott was also very active in sports.
There was a memorial service for Abbott held this past Saturday in Denver, Colorado for Abbott. Investigators do believe that the death was due to natural causes.
