On April 25th, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Chambers County Deputies were dispatched to a residence located in the 2000 block of County Road 281, in northern Chambers County. Deputies were advised that a female and her two toddlers were in distress and the female’s husband was on his way to the residence to assault her. The first deputy arrived on scene in less than 2 minutes. The suspect attempted to elude the deputy, first in a vehicle and then on foot, but was taken into custody.
The deputy then learned that the suspect, identified as Brandon James Osteen, had fired a gunshot into a vehicle occupied by his wife and two children. Osteen, 26, of Five Points, was arrested and charged with Shooting Into an Occupied Vehicle, Domestic Violence 3rd Degree and Attempting to Elude.
This case is still under investigation. Osteen is currently being held at the Chambers County Detention Facility.
