Chambers Academy has announced a new but familiar face will lead their girls’ athletic programs next season. Last week, the school introduced Brandi Fuller as the Lady Rebels’ next basketball and softball coach.

Fuller is a 1997 graduate of Chambers Academy. While there she lettered in softball and basketball, and established herself as one of the best athletes to ever walk the halls at the school. Following graduation from CA, Fuller went on to play softball at Southern Union State Community College. She then went on to earn her degree in education from Auburn University.
Following graduation from Auburn, Fuller returned to Chambers from 2001 to 2005, where she coached and taught. In 2006, she began nursing school and stayed in that field until deciding to return to coaching and education.

In addition to coaching both varsity and junior varsity girls’ softball and basketball teams, Fuller will take on the roll as a science and physical education teacher at Chambers.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to come back and teach and coach here at Chambers,” Fuller said. “And I’m looking forward to getting the girls’ programs to again be one of the most consistently strong in the state.”

Though school won’t begin for another month, Fuller isn’t wasting any time. She met with members of the basketball team this week, and has plans to begin a new strength and conditioning program as soon as possible.
