Many area businesses and individuals have donated items to be auctioned off at The Hike/Bike/Run Auction this Friday, April 21st. The Auction will be held at The Valley Community Center starting at 4:30 p.m. The doors will open at 4:00 p.m. so that people will be able to view the items before the auction starts. Food will be available.

Some of the Auction items include: a home alarm system from A World of Security; 3 certificates for 2,500 sq. ft. of R-13 faced insulation and 3 certificates for 2,500 sq. ft. R-30 unfaced insulation from Knauf; Free night’s stay at The Hampton Inn & Suites with a Basket of assorted teas; a 2001 Ford Escape from Cain Auto; a set of tires from West Point Tire; $400.00 gift certificate toward the purchase of a new set of tires or services from Valley Auto; $400.00 gift certificate toward merchandise or service from Kenny Knox; 5-gallon buckets and lids from Letica; a piece of furniture from Clark Interior; land surveying from Morkes Land Surveyors; buckets with lids from Letica; Season Tickets from New Horizon Theatre; a Tarus .38-caliber revolver with a holster from Pawn City; Free night’s stay in King Suite from Red Roof Inn; an area rug from Colorvision; $400.00 gift certificate toward any purchase from Hester’s Tire & Auto; a 40 pc.1/4” and 3/8” Drive Socket Set from Auto Zone; a 32” Haier HD Television from Badcock Home Furnishings; a Stihl battery-powered Weedeater from Batson Cook; a Vortex Compound Bow from Chambley’s Quality Outdoor Products; certificate for a Last Will and Testament for Husband and Wife from Skip McCoy; bird houses and bee catchers from Charles Chapman; oil changes from David’s Auto; cakes from Dianne Harris; an oil change and a case of 5W30 Motor Oil from Fred’s Auto Parts & Service; Gift Certificates for Floor Covering and carpet remnants from Harris Carpet; oil changes from Langley’s Motor Co; an old-fashion ice crème machine (electric or hand cranked) from Marvin’s; a grill from Grills & Frills; a Cross Cut Light Duty Shredder from Loy’s Office Supplies; A Last Will and Testament for Husband and Wife and a Last Will and Testament for One Person from Don Cleveland, Attorney at Law; two cases of toilet paper from Associated Paper. All of these items and many others will be auctioned this Friday, April 21st at The Valley Community Center. The Hike/Bike/Run walking, biking and running events will be Saturday, May 6th.

At Hike/Bike/Run Day there will be children’s games free for the children to enjoy. Along with the kids games there will be free food for all participants.
