Hill dies when car hits tree

A 38-year-old LaFay-
ette man was killed in
a single-vehicle crash
just south of the city of
LaFayette early Saturday
morning. The accident
remains under investiga-
tion by the Alabama Law
Enforcement Agency.
According to informa-
tion released by the Ala-
bama Law Enforcement
Agency, officers were dis

patched to a single-vehicle
crash near mile marker
157 on U.S. Highway 431
just south of LaFayette at
2:10 a.m. central time on
Saturday September 29,
2018.
When emergency
officials arrived, they
discovered a 2003 Ford
F-150 truck had left the
roadway and struck a
tree. After striking the
tree the vehicle caught
fire according to ALEA.
When emergency officials
arrived, they discovered a
male victim in the vehicle
deceased on the scene.
ALEA has confirmed
the identity of the victim
to be William Jason Hill,
38, of LaFayette. Hill
was pronounced dead
at the scene of the crash
according to ALEA. The
exact cause of death from
the crash has not been
disclosed. The Alabama
State Troopers continue
to investigate the deadly
crash.
