The Chattahoochee Humane Society’s Doggone Art Show is March 24th, from 10am-4pm EST, at Valley Sportsplex. Tractor Supply of Opelika will be at the event with free giveaways, coupons, and more. They are part of the outdoor exhibition where folks are encouraged to attend with their family dog.

This year, the event will have a children’s activity area, Jack Russel races, dog show, agility course (for dogs), behavior classes, and more. There will be face painting provided by art students from Valley High School while local vets and area groomers will be there offering free services such as ear cleaning and nail trimming.

The Valley Area Arts Council is hosting a silent auction inside along with arts, crafts, and baked goods for sale. The only judged art will be in the children’s division for art regarding animals. Artists and craftsmen are welcome to participate for a $25 booth fee. Art using any medium, whether as a beginner or well seasoned artist, is encouraged to participate. Crafts of all kinds are welcome. Applications for a booth are available at Valley City Hall, Chattahoochee Humane Society, or on line at www.chatthumane.org <http://www.chatthumane.org>.

If you and your dog are interested in participating in our dog show, you may apply in advance, on line, at www.chatthumane.org <http://www.chatthumane.org>. There will be a speedy check in line at the event for those who preregister on the website. Registration at the event for the dog show starts at 10am. The dog show starts at 11 a.m., at the new amphitheatre area of the Sportsplex.

There is no charge to attend this fun event and if it rains, we will move indoors. Come join us for this family fun day that includes the dog. If your dog is participating in the dog show, you must bring proof of vaccines. All dogs attending must wear their Rabies tag, be on a leash, be non-aggressive, and females must not be in season. There will be free gifts for all dogs and their persons, while they last. All proceeds benefit Chattahoochee Humane Society and their programs for Chambers County.
