The Chambers Academy JV Rebels added another win last week when they defeated the Glenwood Gators by a score of 39-7. Quarterback, Payton Allen led the Rebels rushing for 161 yards on 4 carries; scoring 4 touchdowns.  James Robinson carried the ball 11 times for 76 total yards and 1 touchdown.  Cade Tarver gained 11 yards on 2 carries; scoring 2 extra points.

The Rebels were strong on both sides of the ball; not allowing the Gators to score until the 3rd quarter.  Jake Higgins and Payton Allen led the team with 9 tackles each.  Jacob Crowe and Gavin Kight each had 7 tackles. Hayden Hurst had 6 tackles and Jacob Oliver, Dean Sheffield and Hunter Knox each recorded 5 tackles in the win.

Head Coach, Jason Allen, commented “I have been very impressed with how our JV has played through their first two games.  They have played really fast and they will hit you.  Our offensive and defensive lines have been playing really well and dominating up front.  You can tell our kids have been playing in the same system for some time now as we are confident in our assignments and it’s showing on the field.”
The JV Rebels will travel to Kingwood in Alabaster on Tuesday, September 5th, to take on the Lions. Pee Wee will begin at 6:00 with JV action following at 7:00.
