Sharron Rice Milford wife of District Judge Calvin Milford for 26 years is this week’s Keep SMILIN profile.
After graduating from Handley High School in Roanoke, Alabama Mrs. Milford attended and graduated from Southern Union with an Associate’s Degree.
Originally from Roanoke, Alabama she moved to LaFayette in 1991 working for Judge Milford which at the time, was known as Attorney Milford, opening his law practice in the 2 story Victorian home on South LaFayette Street.
I am proud to say they did an awesome job remodeling it because I can tell you first hand since right now we are living in this particular house. Sharron shared with me that their daughter Emily ( oldest) learned her ABC’s on the Word Processor there. After their second daughter Melissa was a baby she literally turned in her resignation to her boss ( husband) and became a stay at home mom to their two daughters.
Speaking of daughters, she felt compelled to share things Emily and Melissa are currently involved in.
Emily Sharron Milford is employed with Chambers Academy as a College and Career Counselor as well as Assistant Cheerleader Coach. She received her undergraduate Degree from Auburn University in December 2015 majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with a Minor in International Studies.
Melissa Catherine Milford is an upcoming Senior at Chambers Academy where she is Captain of her Varsity Cheerleading Squad, Yearbook Editor. She also served as Past President of her Junior Class.
Not only in 2005 did Attorney Milford’s career change course whenever he was appointed District Judge of Chambers County, but a move to a new remodeled home was in order for the family where they currently reside.
Judge and Mrs. Milford attend LaFayette First Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon and she is on the Youth Committee.
