It was a trying week for the CA Lady Rebels.  Out of their comfort zone, the ladies traveled to Edgewood on Monday to face the 3A Lady Wildcats.
The Wildcats who have played 30+ games this season mercy ruled the Lady Rebels who have played only 10 games prior to the game with Edgewood. Tori Harmon accounted for the only hit by the Rebels in the 11-1 loss.  Bailey Allen scored the single run credited to the Rebels.
The Ladies had similar luck on Thursday when they faced the Springwood Wildcats.  Kelsey Oliver and Jessica Holiday were the only CA players to reach base; each on a walk.  The Rebels recorded no hits in the 7-0 loss.  Chloe Mitcham got the start in the circle; pitching the full game.  Mitcham struck out 6 and walked 6 batters.

The ladies will travel to Evangel and EMCA this week. Winning these area games will be crucial if the Rebels expect the continue into post season play.
On Friday they will return home to face the Lee-Scott Warriors.  Senior night will be observed before the game.
