The Lady Rebels hosted Cornerstone Christian Academy in an area dou-ble header last week with Cornerstone taking the 1stgame and the Rebels taking the 2nd. In the 3-0 loss against the Chargers, Chloe Mitcham pitched 7 innings recording 12 strike outs and allowing 3 walks. “The three runs were un-earned” stated head Coach Brandi Fuller. “We just couldn’t get it together in the first game. Nervous for the area game, maybe”.Senior, Tate Reese led the ladies going 1 for 2 at the plate followed by Megan Ware who went 1 for 3 with a double in the 6thinning. The Lady Rebels won game two by a score of 7-0. Chloe Mitcham pitched 6 innings striking out 8 and allowing 1 walk. Olivia Williams came in to relieve Mitcham for the final inning striking out 2 and allowing 1 walk. The Rebels combined for 5 hits with Chloe Mit-cham and Megan Ware each going 1 for 2 hitting. Natalie Lovelace and Tate Reese each went 1 for 3 and Bailey Allen went 1 for 4. “Natalie Lovelace had a big hit that drove in three runs.
