The Lady Rebels played 5 games this week beginning on Monday against area rival, EMCA, in a double header event. Both games were won by the Rebels improving their area record to 3-1. In game 1 Kelsey Oliver and Tori Harmon led the Rebels with 2 hits each. McKensie Barnes, Olivia Williams, Tate Reese, Jessica Holliday and Kristina Stewart also had 1 hit each in the win. McKensie Barnes took the win pitching in 5 innings. Jessica Holliday led in game 2 going 2-2 at the plate with 4 RBI’s. Olivia William and Chloe Mitcham also had hits in the win. Chloe Mitcham took the win pitching in the 3 inning game.

The ladies faced 3A Springwood School on Thursday in their first meeting this season. The lady Rebels had trouble hitting the ball against Springwood’s, Emma Jennings, losing by a score of 8-0. Kelsey Oliver, McKensie Barnes, Lindsey Stewart and Tate Reese all went 1-3 in the loss. Errors were also a big factor in the loss, accounting for 7 of Springwoods 8 runs scored.

On Saturday the Ladies participated in a Round Robin at Cornerstone Christian School. The ladies defeated Cornerstone in the first game 8-4. Tate Reese led the Rebels going 3-3 at the plate with 1 RBI. Lindsey Stewart also hit well going 2-3 with 2 RBI’s. Tori Harmon and McKensie Barnes also recorded hits in the win. McKensie Barnes pitched the entire game with 3 strikeouts; allowing 2 walks.

The ladies then faced Lee-Scott in the final game of the week. Although the Rebels lost 16-6 this was an improvement over the last time the two teams met. Chloe Mitcham led the ladies in hits going 2-2 at the plate. Bailey Allen went 2-3. McKensie Barnes went 1-2 and Tate Reese went 1-4. Chloe Mitcham and McKensie Barnes pitched in the loss against Lee-Scott.
