Three teams will represent LaFayette in the upcoming sub-district all-star tournaments that begin later this month. The 11-12 year old team will begin play on June 23 in Tuskegee, along with Tuskegee, Reeltown, Dadeville and Valley. The tournament begins on June 22, but the LaFayette team has a bye and will play the winner of the Dadeville-Valley game on the second day of the double-elimination tournament. The 11-12 year old all-stars are, in front, from left, LaJareon Bryant, Mekevion Shealey, Markevious Tolbert, Zarion Moore, Nick Beaty, Jakell Houston and Shamaz Kirk. Not pictured are Jamarious Beatty and Raven Vaughn. The 9-10 year old LaFayette all-stars will open sub-district tournament play on June 22 in Valley. The two-day double-elimination tournament will include LaFayette, Valley, Beauregard and Ledonia. The 7-8 year old all-star team will be the first from LaFayette to play when they travel to Valley this weekend, June 15-16, for a six-team round-robin seeding tournament. LaFayette will then move on to the sub-district tournament in Opelika on June 22. The tournament will feature 12 teams and is a double-elimination format.
