A tragic roadway accident north of LaFayette on Friday morning left a local man dead. Alabama State Troopers responded to the report of a single vehicle crash in Tallapoosa County just west of Dadeville. There they found a local man injured and transported him to a local hospital where he later passed away from his injuries.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency responded to a crash around 10:45 a.m. on Friday morning. The reports stated that a single vehicle accident involving a 1994 Chevrolet C-1500 pickup truck had occurred along Tallapoosa County Route 44. That road is about 9 miles to the west of Dadeville.
When troopers arrived they found 66-year-old David Clinton Adamson badly injured in the crash. Emergency crews quickly transported Mr. Adamson to the hospital where he died of his injuries a short time later. The ALEA believes that Adamson lost control of his vehicle and ended up striking a tree resulting in the fatal accident. Adamson was the only occupant in the vehicle and the accident remains under investigation by the ALEA.
