As the 2017 season gets underway there is a lot of excitement for the Bulldog baseball team.

There will be 10 players returning from last year’s team so the team should have a good bit of experience and leadership.

Heading into the season pitching is going to be a big factor in the success of the team.

Sophomores Nicholas Beaty and Zarion Moore will handle most of the starting pitching duties, but will also rely on Senior Zyquez Mitchell and 8th Grader Julius Bullard as well.

The team is really working hard to be prepared as it will be a long season.

There are 15 games on the schedule and these Bulldogs are wanting to make some noise and a possible playoff run.

“I feel like our players have what it takes to have a very successful season, Pattillo said “we can accomplish our goals if the players stick together, play hard and remember that we are a family and don’t let anything come between the family. GO DOGS!!!!!!
