12th Grade Queen Representatives
The Bulldogs are on a four game winning streak and are preparing for a big region game this week against the Horseshoe Bend Generals.
The festivities start on Thursday with the annual Homecoming Parade.The parade consists of the annual Homecoming Court, the LaFayette High Marching Bulldogs Band, the LaFayette Bulldogs Varsity, Jr. High and Pee Wee football teams, as well as alumni class car and float entries from recent years.
On Friday the atmosphere resembles that of a HBCU classic, as alumni tailgaters from near and far set up tents and BBQ grills in the wake of the annual homecoming game.
Th actual Homecoming game takes place at Bulldog Stadium before what’s usually a standing room only crowd.A sea of black and gold blanket Bulldog Stadium in support of the Mighty Bulldogs.
After the game on Friday night, the annual Alumni Party takes place at the Chambers County Sportsman Lodge.
The last event for Homecoming weekend is the annual alumni picnic. The LaFayette Homecoming alumni picnic is the mother of all alumni picnics. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of people gather for the alumni picnic festivities. Alumni from as far back as the class of 1969 up to the class of 2017 represent their respective classes with tents and lots of cooking.The picnic has a class pep rally with the winner to host next year’s Alumni Party and Picnic. It also has music, bouncers, activities like sack races, tug-o-war, and other field events.
The Homecoming Parade starts Thursday at 4:45 p.m., Homecoming Game Friday at 7 p.m., and the Alumni Picnic begins Saturday 9 a.m. “GO DOGS”
