Library Happenings

The Bradshaw Library and the LaFayette Library would like to thank the 408 readers that participated in the Summer Reading Program. Together these readers read 24,257 books! On Tuesday, July 26 a pizza dinner was served as local readers received certificates, school supplies, and prizes for reading this summer.

September is Show Us Your Library Card Month. In celebration of this event, local businesses team up with the library to provide discounts and free items just by showing your library card. The library will have a list of participating businesses at the end of August. Any businesses that would like to participate are encouraged to call the library at 334-864-0012 for more information.
Also in the month of September the Adult Lunch-n-Learn series will begin. Stay tuned for more information.

Storytime is a favorite program for young children and parents too. This weekly program is for preschool children and caregivers. Each week is a different theme with songs, stories, movies and crafts. Storytime will start on Thursday, September 15 at 12:30 p.m. Groups of five or more must pre-register.

Please come by the library to stay up to date on programs, events, and the latest books.
