STI 1STI celebrates 20 years in business

Strickland’s Texaco Inc. is in the midst of celebrating its 20th year in business. That’s right, the all-purpose automotive and truck repair facility in West Point has been the premier repair shop in the area for 20 years now.

Owner Ricky Strickland remembers his first foray in to the business in 1996. It was a scary time, but Strickland said he “jumped in with both feet.”

“I had worked on cars all my life and getting involved with my own shop seemed the right thing to do,” he said.

STI 2Because he lives and works by the motto, Service-Trust-Integrity (STI), which also doubles as his businesses initials, Strickland Texaco Inc., many of the customers that began with him twenty years ago, still bring their vehicles to him today.

The facility pretty much does it all. Need an oil change? Strickland’s does it. Same with engine maintenance, brakes, new tires, transmission services, heating and cooling, electrical, electronic and on and on. There’s very little Strickland’s can’t do. They even offer towing services.

But then, a lot of repair facilities claim to be full service. What makes Strickland’s different from the rest, is the extra miscellaneous services they provide. Here’s a few ways Strickland’s goes the extra mile to please customers:

-Most extended warranties accepted. Extended warranties kick in after the usual manufacturer’s warranty has expired. Unfortunately many repair shops refuse to accept extended warranties. Strickland’s on the other hand, gladly accepts them.

-After hours drop off is available. If you can’t make it in during business hours you can drop it off at night. All you need to do is fill out a drop off form explaining your problem, and their factory-certified mechanics will begin work in the morning.

-Free local pickup and delivery is available. Many repair shops will pick up and deliver for a fee. Strickland’s does not charge for the service. So if you are busy at home or work, simply give them a call and they will come and get your vehicle, repair it, and return it without a charge.

-Mobile repair is also available. STI understands that most people do not have time to wait in repair shops, and if they so desire, they will come to your home or workplace and repair your vehicle on site. Very few repair shops will provide this service.
This list of extras goes on and on. RV repair, performance modifications, trailer hitches (with wiring and tires), on-site welding, improve fuel efficiency, pre-purchase inspections, pre-trip inspections are all extra services Strickland’s provides to it’s customers.

It’s no wonder the area’s premier vehicle facility is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. With what STI has to offer, 20 more year’s is certainly in the offing.

Strickland’s is located at 514 2nd Ave in West Point. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Call 706-643-8850 for an appointment or more information.
