The dining choices in LaFayette have gotten a little more diverse once again. A new eatery opened recently at a popular intersection in LaFayette, not only filling a void in local dining options, but also allowing a new variety of food choices to be welcomed into the city of LaFayette.
When arriving in the city of LaFayette the intersection of U.S. Highway 431 and Alabama State Highway 50 is a major landmark in the commercial body of LaFayette. Many local businesses call the intersection home. A popular mom and pop style eatery known as Newts dominated the intersection for several years, however this past fall Newt’s closed its doors leaving a vacant store front to welcome visitors to LaFayette.
However a new mom and pop style eatery has now opened in the former Newt’s location. Residents of LaFayette and the surrounding areas have been quickly discovering, Top Notch Café. The new eatery opened its doors and has allowed locals to widen their dining options.
Top Notch Café offers a unique family style feel as you enter and exit where polite manners and warm welcomes embrace customers. In addition to the visible style of southern hospitality new menu choices also allow guests of LaFayette’s newest dining location to enjoy a wide variety of foods to include; hot wings, burgers, sandwiches, fish dishes, and much more.
Top Notch Café is now open for business and is located in the former Newt’s location at the intersection Highway 50 and U.S. 431. The location is joined to the Marathon gas station. Many residents who have discovered the new location are very pleased with the new LaFayette restaurant. At peak times in its early opening there is standing room only at the popular new eatery.
