Ms. Hunter
Ms. Lillie Mae Hunter, 73, of Riverdale, GA (formerly of Camp Hill) died Monday, March 20, 2017 at Genesis Riverdale Center, Riverdale, GA. Funeral services were held at Mt. Lovely Baptist Church, Camp Hill on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Rev. G. H. Pulliam officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Ms. Hunter is survived by one brother: John J. (Patsy) Hunter, Mattapan, MA; three nephews: Carleton E. Martin, Fayetteville, GA, Vincent C. Martin, Montgomery, and Martinies Martin, San Francisco, CA; two nieces: Peggie Hunter, North Olmsped, Ohio and Tracey H. Pulliam, Camp Hill and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Aikens
Mr. Billy Aikens, 84, of Lanett, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital. Mr. Aikens was born in Langdale, on March 9, 1933 to the late Hooper Aikens and the late Eston Yarbrough Aikens. He wa a member of the Happy Valley Baptist Church, and was retired from West Point Pepperell as the supply room supervisor. He also retired from grass cutting at the Valley Housing Authority and Happy Valley Baptist Church. He served in the US Army and the Army Reserves.He was an avid golfer and Tuesday March 28, 2017 would have been their 59th wedding anniversary Funeral services were held Tuesday March 28, 2017 at 2PM (ET) at the Happy Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. John Samani and the Rev. Floyd Aikens officiating. Burial followed at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his wife Lois Roberts Aikens of Lanett, two children Dwayne (Gaye) Aikens of Fredonia, Al., Loretta (Steve) Smith of Huguley, Al., three sisters Emma (Joe) Blanks of Wadley. Al., Ruth (Frankie) Davis of LaFayette, Al., Faye (Tommy) Blackmon of Wadley,Al., two brothers Frank Aikens of Valley, Al., Rev. Floyd (Floy) Aikens of Lanett, Al., three grandchildren Tina (Corey) Vial, Jessica (Bill) Cannon , Jedediah (Chandler) Smith., four great grandchildren Aiden and Helena Vial, Karmin Smith and one on the way Kensleigh Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents Hooper Aikens, Eston Yarbrough Aikens and Eunice Aikens, five brothers and sisters Dovard Aikens, Lonida Brooks, Cleave Aikens, Lorene Milner and his twin Annie Jean Aikens. Rev. Hutchinson

Rev. Mike Hutchinson, 66, of LaFayette, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his residence. Rev. Hutchinson was born in Alexander City, November 2, 1950 to the late Robert Franklin Hutchinson and the late Ruby Brown Hutchinson, he was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Camp Hill, and was a retired minister having served the following churches, Bethlehem Baptist Church in Louisville, Al., Brinson Baptist Church in Brinson, Ga., Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Dadeville, Al., and County Line Baptist Church in Dudleyville, Al. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 2PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Powell and the Rev. Gerald Purvis officiating, burial will follow at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Hutchinson of LaFayette, two children Benjamin Hutchinson of LaFayette, David (Hayley) Hutchinson of LaFayette, two sisters Jolene (Rodger) Ballard of Alexander City, Al., Annette Yates of Auburn, Al., three grandchildren Pace Hutchinson, Callan Hutchinson, and Ivy Hutchinson. Mr. James

Mr. John Eddie James, 58, of Five Points, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at EAMC-Lanier in Valley.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 27, 2017, 12 Noon CST at Friendship Baptist Church No. 2 in LaFayette, (Buffalo Community), Rev. Curtis Spidell, Pastor; Officiating, Rev. Robert Ray, Eulogist. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. James is survived by his fiancé, Theresa Billingslea of Five Points, a devoted uncle, whom reared him as his own, Hubert Ray, Jr. of Five Points, two sisters, Debra James of Five Points, and Kathy Ray Jennings of Valley, six brothers: Roy Lee James and Randy James of Five Points, Larry James of Opelika, AL, Rev. Robert (Denise) Ray and Jimmy Ray of Valley, and Rickey Stevens of Rochester, N.Y., a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ms. Marilyn D. Bonner, 50, of Bowden, GA passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, 11:00 a.m. CST at Shiloh Baptist Church in Wedowee, AL, Rev.Willie L. Kidd, Pastor; Officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Ms. Bonner is survived by two sons, Eddie Bonner and Therod C. Goodwin, a daughter, Kimberly Goodwin, mother, Mary Bonner, two brothers, Rev. Willie (Joann) Kiddand John Henry Kidd, III, a sister, Ella (Sergio) Rodriguez, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Jackson

Mrs. Lelia Jackson, 79, of Roanoke died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at LaFayette Nursing Home, LaFayette. Funeral services will be held at New Beginnings Outreach Ministries, Roanoke on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (CST) with Pastor Tom Staples officiating. Interment will be in Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery, Roanoke. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 p.m. (CST) until the funeral hour. Public viewing will be at Vines Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. (CST).
