Police in LaGrange,
Georgia are searching for
the person responsible for
robbing a bank in a busy
business district of the city
last week. Police have now
released several images of
a suspect and are asking
the public for assistance
in locating the person
responsible for the armed
robbery.
LaGrange Police indi-
cate they responded to the
Charter Bank located on
South Davis Road near the
LaGrange Mall at 12:16
p.m. Friday in reference to
a panic alarm. When police
arrived a clerk at the bank
told police a white male
walked in and showed her
a note demanding money
before fleeing the bank.
Police confirm the note
did include threats if the
teller failed to comply with
the demands of the note.
The clerk gave money to
the robber without other
customers at the bank be-
ing aware of what was
going on.
Police say the suspect
fled the bank in a vehicle.
Police later released foot-
age of the suspect vehicle
which shows a small dark
colored compact car.
Police continue to inves-
tigate the robbery and ask
anyone with information
to call LaGrange police
at (706)883-2603 or
(706)812-1000.
This robbery marks
the second time in less
than a year that a Charter
Bank has been robbed in
LaGrange. In December
2017, the Charter Bank
on West Point Road was
robbed by an armed sus-
pect. Police have not made
any arrest in that case as
of yet.
