The science fair team left
school promptly at 7:30 a.m.
with their projects and re-

Both upper school science
teachers Mrs. Kim Slay and
Mrs. Brandi Fuller attended
the competition with our
students. After registration
at SUSCC, the team set up
their projects for judging in
the Southern Room on cam-

interviews took place from
8:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Students were then given
campus tours by SUSCC
Student Ambassadors fol-
lowed by a sponsored lun-
cheon for all participants.
Awards followed with CA’s
Tate Reese capturing the
first place gold medal with
her entry in the high school
science biological contest.
Additionally, CA sopho-

captured a first place gold
medal with his entry in the
high school physical scienc-es contest. Both Tate Reese
and Gunner Johnson will
advance to the AISA’s State

to be hosted at Huntingdon
College on February 1st.
Several of the students
are now looking forward to
attending the upcoming Sci-

at Auburn University later
this spring.
