Roberson, Hadaway win kids’ fishing derby

The Chambers County
Lake hosted the Kids
Fishing Rodeo on June
23, 2018. The event had
a wonderful turnout from
the community..

deo was open to kids 12
years and under. Registra

tion for the event began at
7 a.m. CT. Fishing began
at 8 a.m. and concluded
at 11:30 a.m. with weigh
in and awards. Fishing
Rodeo winners were Jer

emiah Roberson catching
Big Fish weighing in at
17 lbs. 4 oz. Most Weight
winners was 1st place
Jaycee Hadaway with
16 lbs. 10 oz., 2nd place
Mon’Quavian Morgan
with 13 lbs .1 oz., and 3rd
place Skye Vallia with 7
lbs. 5 oz. Each of the win

ners received prizes.
A free hotdog sack
lunch for all registered
children was served the
Fishing Rodeo. Door
prizes and raffle items
were also given away to the kids participating in
the Fishing Rodeo.

managers worked very
hard to bring this event
back to the community
and we look forward to
partnering again with the
next year to have the Kids
Fishing Rodeo again, said
