10 inches of rain in our rain gage this week!! I don’t know if you ever heard the old tale” if it rains on the first day of the month it will rain 15 days in that month”. Through the years I have counted and counted and yep the old tale seems to be true. As of this writing rain is predicted most of the week so if it happens to rain on June 1st, start counting!
Here’s hoping it doesn’t.. Don’t get me wrong I know we need the rain but, its summertime. I love being outside sitting on my porch especially! This summer the invitation remains.. stop by, sit and visit!! I love hearing stories about our quaint little town and the folks who have made it what it is today.
I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day and remembered those who gave their life for us or honored the ones still living. I had to go to Columbus for the first time Sunday and whenever I saw a guy in uniform I could not help but stop and tell them thank you for their service. Sure made my day to see their face to know we appreciate all they are doing. Yes, Columbus is a military city and I said it quite a few time but I don’t think I say it enough, feeling its very important to let them know how much they are appreciated.
