The Chambers Academy JV Rebels defeated the Kingwood Lions by a score of 35-8 bringing their win/loss record to 6-1 for the season.  Having suffered a loss to Lee-Scott the previous week, the Rebels were more prepared than ever and ready to face the Lions.  Leading on offense was Quarterback, Payton Allen, who passed for 145 yards and ran in 2 touchdowns on quarterback keepers.  Other scorers for the Rebels were Joshua Holliday who scored on a 81 yard pass and James Robertson who scored on a 64 yard pass by Allen. Also seeing action on offense were Gavin Kite and Jacob Oliver who carried the ball for a combined 36 yards.

Defensively Jacob Oliver led with 7 tackles.  Hunter Knox and James Robertson each had 6 tackles.  Joseph Hendrix, Joshua Holliday and Payton Allen each had 5 tackles in the win.  Head Coach , Jason Allen stated “It was good to get back on the field and get things back on track with a win. Our kids played hard and took care of business against a team we had previously beaten earlier in the season.  We threw the ball around pretty good so that was a positive for us as we head into the last game of the season. “
The Rebels will travel to Springwood School in Lanett on Tuesday to face the Wildcats in the last JV game of the season.  Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 CT.
