Second Jack’s restaurant shooting suspect apprehended

LaFayette Police have
confirmed the second
suspected shooter in an
incident at the Jack’s in
LaFayette has been taken
into custody. Police now
have both men in custody
following the incident that
shocked many around the
LaFayette community.
According to LaFay-
ette Police, officers were
able to arrest 20-year-old,
Anterio Makel Williams
in connection to the
incident that occurred on
June 13th, at the Jack’s in
LaFayette. On that date
police were called to the
business around 9:00 p.m.
in reference to shots being
fired at the business. Dur

ing an investigation of-
ficers were able to identify
two suspects in connection
the incident.
Officers were seeking
to locate 30-year-old Den-
nis Sanchez Asberry, of
LaFayette and 20-year-old
Anterio Makel Williams in
connection to the incident.
Neither of the men were
injured during the shots
being fired at the busi

ness. Police were able to
take Dennis Asberry into
custody on June 22nd.
Following his arrest
Asberry was charged with
reckless endangerment
and discharging a firearm
in the city limits.
On Friday June 29,
2018, LaFayette Police
confirm Anterio Makel
Williams was taken
into custody. Williams
has been charged with
discharging a firearm into
an occupied dwelling,
reckless endangerment,
criminal mischief, and
discharging a firearm in
the city limits. LaFayette
Police would like to thank
the Lanett Police Depart-
ment for their assistance
in the apprehension of
Williams.
