SUSCC Valley campus works to ease stress for fall registration

Fall classes at Southern Union start August 14, and many of the most popular classes fill up quickly. If you’re a new student, navigating the steps for enrollment and registration can sometimes be confusing. Don’t let being perplexed over the steps you need to take keep you from beginning your educational journey.

Southern Union’s Valley Campus is hosting a registration workshop to help potential students be ready for fall semester registration on July 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET. Students can come to campus on this day and apply for college, take the COMPASS placement exam, get help with the Financial Aid application process if needed, and register for SOAR, SU’s pre-college orientation session.

Students should bring a notarized copy of their unexpired driver’s license to the workshop. Once all the paperwork is completed, students should plan to attend the SOAR session in Valley on July 9 to register for fall classes.

“We want to make sure that the process of getting enrolled and registered at Southern Union is as easy as possible for the first time college student,” said Robin Brown, Valley Campus Director. “We think this will make things more convenient and simple for those who wish to enroll at SU for fall semester.”
