Thieves Steal Cellphones Worth $50,000 plus from Walmart

On February 8th, officers of the Valley Police Department were called to Wal-Mart in reference to a theft that had been discovered. On their arrival, officers were met by store security and were told that two unknown persons had stolen several cell phones from the electronics section.

Security video showed that at approximately 7:00 AM a black male and black female entered the store and went directly to the electronics department. The female then broke into the drawer where the cell phones were kept while the male was keeping a look out. They then took the phones and secured them in an empty car seat box and a backpack. They then went through the self-check-out where they scanned the box, paid for it in cash, and then left the store.

An inventory of the drawer showed that over 50 cell phones were taken (including Iphone, Samsung, and Moto) for a loss of over $50,000.

The female was described as wearing a green hat, black shirt, black pants, and white shoes. The male was wearing a black hat, dark jacket, dark pants, and a pink shirt.

If anyone has any information concerning this theft please call the Valley Police Department at 334-756-5200 or the Valley Area Crime Stoppers at 334-756-8200.
