Two injured as shots ring out at Lanett nightclub


Two people are lucky
to be alive after a physi-
cal altercation at a Lanett
nightclub turned even
more violent early Friday
morning and gunfire
erupted leaving two
people wounded. One of
the victims in the shooting
had to be transported to
an out of state hospital for
treatment from the injures
sustained in the incident.
According to the Lanett
Police Department at
2:47 a.m. on November
23, 2018 officers from
the Lanett Police Depart-
ment were dispatched to
1606 19th Street SW in
the city of Lanett. Officers
were initially responding
to a call involving a fight
in progress at the facil-
ity which was formerly
known as Club 110. As
Lanett officers arrived
on scene to the nightclub
they were met with a large
number of vehicles and
persons leaving the area.
Officers began to search
the area near the night-
club. During the course of
that search Lanett officers
located two individuals
suffering from gunshot
injuries. The first victim
was identified as Quardar

ius Johnson, age 29, of
Opelika. Lanett EMS ar-
rived to transport Johnson
to the hospital. Lanett
Police confirm Johnson
had sustained a wound
to his head and had to be
transported to Piedmont
Midtown Medical Center
in Columbus, Georgia for
The second victim was
identified as Tiera Henry,
age 25, of Lanett. Police
did not elaborate on the
severity of her injuries
or where she was shot
at during the altercation.
She was transported to an
undisclosed hospital for
Lanett Police are still
investigating the shooting
