Valley woman dies when car hits concrete

On October 25 at 10:30 A.M., officers of the Valley Police Department responded to a one vehicle accident on Highway 29 in front of Valley High School. Upon officers arrival they found the driver of the vehicle, Tiffany Kate Wyrosdick (24 years old of Valley), had visible injuries. She was transported by Valley EMS to a landing zone where she was met by the Life Saver helicopter and flown to the Atlanta Medical Center. On arrival, Ms. Wyrosdick was taken into surgery. The surgeons were unable to revive her and she died of her injuries. Ms. Wyrosdick will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for autopsy.

A witness to the accident stated that he saw Ms.Wyrosdick’s vehicle travelling south on Highway 29. He stated that the vehicle veered across the northbound lanes, left the roadway, and struck a concrete barrier.
At this time it is unknown what caused the accident. This is being investigated by the Valley Police Department and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
