The Varsity Boys, ill prepared from an extended football season faced a very prepared Evangel team, losing 66-36.  Payton Allen led the team with 15 points and 14 rebounds.  Colton Hand scored 11 points and Blake Sheppard scored 5.  Rodrigez Dark scored 3 points and Braxton Allen scored 2 in the loss.  Blake Sheppard is credited with 8 rebounds and CJ Lyons had 4.  Coach Matt Mims again elaborated on the fact that the boys had only a few days to prepare for the contest stating “Our kids played very well and handled the press defense well.  We just have a few things to work on before our games next week.” The Rebels will travel to Edgewood on Monday and Coosa Valley on Thursday with games starting at 4:00.
