A Night of Legacy scholarship gala to support education, workforce development

EAST ALABAMA — Captain Of My Soul will host “A Night of Legacy: Empowering Futures Through Education, Workforce Development & Opportunity” on Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Chewacla State Park Event Center in Auburn. The semi-formal scholarship gala is scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m.
The event is designed to raise funds for scholarships, workforce development programming and mentorship opportunities for students and young professionals in Lee, Chambers and Tallapoosa counties. Captain Of My Soul describes its mission as breaking down barriers to opportunity and investing in people who will help shape the region’s future.
Organizers expect approximately 300 community leaders, business partners, educators and families to attend. The evening will include a cocktail hour, dinner, a formal program and a live fundraising appeal.
The event will also feature guest speaker Isaac Keys, an NFL alumnus and author of The Grind Don’t Stop It Just Changes. Promotional materials describe the evening as one focused on education, workforce development and opportunity.
Captain Of My Soul is currently seeking sponsors for the event. Opportunity Sponsors may participate at the $2,000 level, which includes four reserved tickets, logo placement on the event screen and printed program, social media and website recognition and recognition from the podium. Community Sponsorships are available for $1,000 and include two reserved tickets and recognition in the event program.
According to the sponsorship prospectus, 100% of net proceeds from “A Night of Legacy” will directly support scholarships and workforce development programs for students in the community.
The gala will be held at the Chewacla State Park Event Center, 124 Shell Toomer Parkway in Auburn. Admission is $100, and semi-formal attire is requested.
