VALLEY — Yianni’s Kitchen is a Greek-themed restaurant in Valley that serves salads, wraps, gyros and more.

“We have some fish, shrimp, sandwiches, salads, gyros and lamb,” said Yianni’s kitchen manager, Keny Tores. “We have a drive-thru. We have a great baklava. We have dine-in, to-go and a patio where they can sit outside if they want. People like our chicken tenders, buffalo tenders, special sauce and homemade sauce. We have more food coming in the future.”

Tores said that Yianni’s Kitchen is a family business and that he enjoys providing Greek food to locals.

“It is a family business, it started with two brothers,” he said. “This used to be owned by two people from Greece, but we bought it from them. We try to make it good for all customers.”

When visiting Yianni’s Kitchen, Tores said that customers will receive fresh, house-made flavors.

“For us, we have healthy food,” he said. “Everything we make is in-house, and we have fresh salads. We serve everybody. They need to come try us, we have homemade flavors.”

For those who would like to visit but are unsure of what to order, Tores shared his favorites from the menu.

“My favorite is the California chicken salad, grilled shrimp salad, chicken wings, buffalo shrimp, hummus and fried catfish,” he said.

Tores said his family also owns another restaurant in West Point and that customers enjoy it as well.

“We have another one in West Point called Mama’s Hotwings, and it has Mexican food —quesadillas and tacos,” he said. “Customers like the food at the West Point one, and they love the California chicken salad. They love the tacos, cheese fries, burritos and steak nachos.”

For those looking for a late-night snack, Tores said that Yianni’s Kitchen is open late and works with delivery systems.

“We work with DoorDash, and we’re open from 11 a.m. to midnight,” he said. “For dining, we close at 10 p.m., but the drive-thru is open until midnight. We are super busy at nightime on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.”

Tores said that he and the other workers at Yianni’s Kitchen feel supported by the Chambers County community.

“It’s a small town, I like it, all the people you see here are nice,” he said. “We have nice customers, they come every day and buy stuff from us, everybody is very nice. It’s grown up very fast. We have owned it for two and a half years. We love to cook and have fresh food. We enjoy serving the customers. We love that all the customers come to see us. We make the food with love, that’s what we love to do.”
