“I have always loved LaFayette and over the last several years my passion for improving LaFayette has grown stronger and stronger,” Langley said. “As your councilman, I will work with the mayor and other council members to move our city forward.”

Langley said his goals are to improve the city’s infrastructure, provide updated facilities for youth sports programs, improve city efficiency and help to foster a positive future for the community.

Langley is a life-long resident of LaFayette. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in finance from Auburn University.

He spent 10 years working in cost accounting at Russell Corp. He has spent nearly three decades in the logging business and said his work has taught him an important lesson.

“When people from all walks of life come together with purpose, there’s nothing we can’t achieve,” Langley said.

He also said he believes it is important to mentor young people, and he has spent many years encouraging young people to become entrepreneurs and to dream big.

Langley attends the Church of the Highlands.

“I humbly ask for your vote on Aug. 26. May God bless each of you and God bless LaFayette, Alabama.”
