LaFayette’s Ra’Quazious “Qua” Boyd joins UWA Hall of Fame
Former Tiger standout recognized for dominant collegiate career

LAFAYETTE — On Saturday, Oct. 18, Ra’Quazious “Qua” Boyd, a graduate of LaFayette High School, Jones County Junior College and the University of West Alabama, was inducted into the University of West Alabama Football Hall of Fame.
Boyd was honored as part of the 2025 Hall of Fame class for his standout collegiate career from 2017 to 2019. During his time on the field, he was named to both the Gulf South Conference (GSC) and West Alabama Team of the Decade. He earned All-America, All-Region and All-GSC honors in each of his three seasons.
Boyd leads all tight ends in UWA history with 128 receptions, ranks fifth in program history in receiving touchdowns with 14 and stands seventh all-time with 1,612 receiving yards. He also helped lead the Tigers to the NCAA playoffs in 2018.
Boyd now resides in Valley, Alabama, with his wife, Erin Boyd, and works for Lanett City Schools, where he serves as a sixth-grade history teacher, head junior high football and basketball coach, offensive coordinator for the Lanett varsity football team and assistant varsity basketball coach.
