Multi-agency drug operations result in 52 arrests in Chambers County

CHAMBERS COUNTY — A coordinated, multi-agency law enforcement effort conducted over a three-month period resulted in the arrest of 52 individuals on more than 100 drug-related charges across Chambers County, according to a press release issued this week by the Chambers County Drug Task Force.

From Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2025, agents with the Chambers County Drug Task Force and Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force worked alongside the Chambers County Multi-Jurisdictional SWAT Team, the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office and the Valley, LaFayette and Lanett police departments. The operations included traffic stops, investigations and the execution of two search warrants.

Officials said the coordinated efforts led to 52 arrests on a total of 102 charges involving controlled substances, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, trafficking offenses and weapons violations.

Charges ranged from unlawful possession of controlled substances — including methamphetamine, fentanyl, prescription pills and synthetic drugs — to trafficking offenses and possession of firearms by prohibited persons.

The following arrests were reported:

1. Mona McDuffie, 49, of Lanett — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) — Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

2. Jeromy Charles Cain, 54, of Lanett — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth).

3. Detavias Jawain Rosser, 32, of Grantville, Georgia — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Marijuana 1st.

4. Wendell Brooks Jr., 56, of LaFayette — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

5. Tito Sanatana Dunn, 33, of Valley — Possession of Marijuana 1st.

6. Leslie Nicole Lackey, 54, of Lanett — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

7. Cary Clark Askew, 62, of Valley — Possession of Marijuana 2nd.

8. Michael Steeda Bleigh, 27, of Valley — Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

9. Jerrionda Raheem Lloyd, 29, of Lanett — Possession of Marijuana 1st and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

10. Jessica Gutierrez, 37, of Lanett — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Synthetics).

11. Melanie Gallagher, 41, of Valley — Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

12. Kenneth Wayne Elliot, 59, of Valley — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth).

13. Quintarious Leverett, 31, of LaFayette — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Synthetics) — Possession of Marijuana 1st and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

14. James Hughes III, 26, of Valley — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth). Two Counts and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

15. Lillian Marie Collier, 20, of Lanett — Possession of Marijuana 2nd.

16. Tyrese Hakeem Heard, 24, of Lanett — Possession of Marijuana 1st and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

17. Jason Allen Davis, 41, of Valley — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to Distribute (Methamphetamine).

18. Brittany Nicole Ward, 38, of Valley — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

19. Holly Nichole McCarley, 44, of Valley — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

20. Daniel McLaughlin, 45, of Valley — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) — Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

21. Hammett Rudolph Boatner, 74, of Five Points — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

24. Joseph Ken Waldroup, 37, of Lagrange, Georgia — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to Distribute (Methamphetamine) — Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess Firearm.

25. Rontonious Omari Winston, 24, of Lanett — Possession of Marijuana 1st and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

26. Jacob Dell Craft, 30, of Lanett — Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

27. Amanda Falon Morgan, 39, of Roanoke — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Pills) Three Counts.

28. William Herbert Fox, 55, of Valley — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

46. Marcus Jeffrey Brooks, 58, of Lanett — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth).

47. Rodney Compton, 61, of Valley — Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

48. Andrew Streeze, 30, of LaFayette — Possession of Marijuana 2nd.

49. Maria Meriweather, 40, of Valley — Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

52. Wade Evan Daniel, 51, of Lanett — Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth).

Law enforcement officials emphasized that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
