LORETTA OSBORN 

WINDSOR 

Funeral services for Loretta Osborn Windsor, age 90, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Chuck Potts and Bro. Tim Satterwhite officiating. Burial will follow at Penton Church of God Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday before services begin.

Mrs. Windsor passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband William Robert Windsor of Roanoke; one daughter, Elena Sudduth (Walter) of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Amee Rushton (Tommy) of Roanoke and Madeline Vick (Steven) of Auburn; great-grandchildren, Whitney Lester (Kyle), Bradley Rushton (Carly), Addison “Addie” Sudduth, Ava Sudduth, Hannah Vick and Chloe Vick; one great-great-grandchild, Lainey Lester; and step-children, Jack Windsor of Indianapolis, Indiana, Melody Wade (Tommy) of LaGrange, Georgia, Scott Windsor (Lynne), of Opelika, and Tammie Hodges of Wadley.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Rushton, Bradley Rushton, Steven Vick, Scott Windsor, Scott Wages and Ryan Foster.

A Wilcox County native, Mrs. Windsor was born on April 17, 1936, the daughter of Walter B. and Annie Pearl Ragsdale Osborn. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church and worked as an RN for Randolph County Hospital and then the Chambers County Health Department. Mrs. Windsor was in the first graduating nursing class from Southern Union State Community College. She was well-known for her faith and love of the Lord. Mrs. Windsor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete Burks; two sons, Benjie Mapp and Jonathan Mapp; one grandson, Luke Sudduth; two sisters; and two brothers.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be may to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mrs. Rebecca Ann (Kennedy) Palmer

Rebecca Ann Kennedy Palmer, 58, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, formerly of LaFayette,

Alabama, passed away on April 26, 2026 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She was born in

LaFayette, on Oct. 4, 1967, to the late Lewis and Ann Kennedy.

Rebecca was employed at Lowes in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She was an avid Alabama

fan.

Rebecca is survived by her children Joshua Palmer of Auburn, Amber Palmer of Opelika, and Nicole Palmer of Opelika; sister Anita Smith of LaFayette; niece and nephew Caitlin (Robert) Royster and Justin Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Alabama on

Saturday May 16, 2026 at 2 p.m. CST. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Visitation

will be held at the church at 1 p.m. prior to the service.

Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette is assisting the family with arrangements.
