BEVERLY DIANNE SHELNUTT

Beverly Dianne Shelnutt, 83, of West Point, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2026, at EAMC surrounded by family and friends. She was born at Lanier Hospital in Valley, on Dec. 26, 1942.

Ms. Shelnutt attended West Point High School and was a meat cutter for 25 years. She had an uncanny ability to laugh last and make others laugh. Her hobbies and interests included reading, which she loved, knitting, crocheting, cooking for her family, canning and spending all available time with her family.

Diane was a member and caretaker at Living Word Assembly of God in Lanett. 

Ms. Shelnutt was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Martin “Marty” Hall; former husband, Billy G. Hall; and her parents, Herman and Gladys King.

Survivors include her son, Eric Hall (Deanne); grandchildren, Jordan Dutton, Joseph Elijah Hall and Abby Smith. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Visitation and funeral services for Beverly Dianne Shelnutt were Oct. 5, at Valley-Point Funeral Home and Crematory in Lanett, with Pastor Phillip Doss officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett.

Valley-Point Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
