LANETT — The Lambda Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated proudly invites the community to join us for our annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Monday, Jan. 19, at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Lanett, Alabama, beginning at 10 a.m. EST.

This cherished observance has become a cornerstone event in our community, honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Each year, we gather in unity and reflection, reaffirming our commitment to lead by example and uphold Dr. King’s enduring principles of nonviolence, equality and social justice. Through this celebration, we strive to inspire meaningful dialogue and action that strengthen the bonds of community and foster lasting change.

This year’s theme, “Mission Possible II: Building Community, Uniting a Nation the Nonviolent Way,” reflects our unwavering dedication to advancing Dr. King’s vision of harmony and progress.

We are honored to welcome Reverend Justin Freeman, esteemed pastor of Mount Hermon Baptist Church, as our keynote speaker for this significant occasion.

Join us as we pay tribute to Dr. King’s profound legacy — a legacy that continues to guide our mission of Service to All Mankind and our efforts to uplift and empower communities through purposeful leadership.
