CHAMBERS COUNTY — At the April 13 Chambers County Commission Meeting, District 4 Commissioner Sam Bradford reminded locals about participation in Alabama PALS (People Against a Littered State) and recognized many groups of volunteers who have been working to clean up Chambers County.

“Just as a reminder, the recycling effort that the Commission does for one week a year is going on right now, today was the first day, and then that will go on through Thursday,” he said. “... That’s going on right now, and then also, everyone’s aware that the Commission supports the roadside litter program, and that goes on all the time, but right now is a good time [to get involved].

Bradford read a proclamation to recognize the 50th Annual Hike-Bike-Run and the 30th Annual LaFayette Day that will raise money to benefit Valley Haven School. The proclamation was presented to District 3 Commissioner James Williams, who is a member of the Hike-Bike-Run committee.
