CHAMBERS COUNTY — The superintendent’s report projects the loss of one or more teaching units in Chambers County Schools.

“I did want you to see the numbers, the numbers that we have. The last time we met, we were at 2,949, and we are now at 2,952,” the board secretary said. “It’s creeping up slowly, but you can now look and see where we are. We are down a little over a 100 students from last year to this year, and I know we have talked about what the largest population of those students are. But I just wanted to get you on there because you see that negative sign, you know that means that for next year, when we’re starting to make our plans, that means we will lose a teaching unit or two and some other units as well.”
