Downtown LaFayette gets ready to ‘crawl’

LAFAYETTE — LaFayette Main Street is thrilled to present its Inaugural Main Street Music Crawl. On Saturday, Oct. 25, from 2 to 8 p.m. CST, experience the Historic Downtown LaFayette live music scene during this free event which brings together diverse musical styles and generations through a series of multistage mini-concerts, interactive experiences and community engagement.

This event will celebrate the diversity of the LaFayette musical community as well as many professional musicians. Stroll down Main Street, enjoy live music and activities as you take in all LaFayette’s historic downtown district has to offer. Multiple downtown businesses will offer specials and musical performances for all ages.

“We are a community filled with amazing business establishments and people who have a passion for music,” said DeAnna Hand, executive director of LaFayette Main Street. “Our Music Crawl event is a grant project awarded through the Department of Tourism to allow an event which attracts not only our community, but also visitors to our sweet town. The Crawl will feature a variety of musical performances throughout downtown and will connect with the musical tastes of everyone. Come out to linger, listen and love local.”

Musical acts currently booked include talent from jazz, rock, country, R&B and local bands. Locations of performances include the Farmers and Merchants Bank, Harmon Insurance, Krave Korner, Zeks, The Sparrow, Blessed Body Gym, Mural Stage, Newman’s, The Market at Magnolia on Main, Wheeler Deck, The Pearl Event Center, The Venue, Blue Button and more.
