LaFayette locals hop over to meet the Easter bunny

Locals gathered for photos with the Easter Bunny on Good Friday, March 3, beside the LaFayette mural. Hosted by LaFayette Main Street, families were able to gather and grab a holiday photo in their Easter best.

“There’s something so special about seeing smiles light up downtown, and our Easter bunny photos create those sweet, lasting memories for so many families,” said LaFayette Main Street Executive Director DeAnna Hand.

Along with fun photos, LaFayette Main Street has been creating community fun in LaFayette through partnering with local businesses to hide prized eggs for community members to find.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. -  Matthew 28:5-8
